The White Tower is a 98' high architecture landmark in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The light installation Water Bubbles, as part of the Undark Festival, will be seen in its lower 20 windows. Ten of these are rectangular, and the other ten are circular, and its composition will echo their shapes to unite them.
The tower was designed by the architect Moses Reischer, and has been recognized by UNESCO as a Constructivist monument. It was the largest water tank in the world when it was completed in 1931. It fell out of use in the 1960s and deteriorated, and is now being restored by a dedicated group of architects.
